Our Fourth Album: a distance, intertwined

In May, we recorded our fourth studio album with long-time friend and brilliant shakuhachi player, Kojiro Umezaki. Our album a distance, intertwined features five works for Hub and shakuhachi by the composers of the Asia-America New Music Institute. These pieces by Takuma Itoh, Sun-Young Park, Chad Cannon, Angel Lam, and Umezaki build inspired dialogues between Eastern and Western traditions. Across the album, each composer explores the intersection of their cultural and musical identity. The album drops September 8th on In a Circle Records, so stay tuned for more updates later this summer!
