Converging Voices
hub new music’s next generation of commissions
Hub’s latest initiative, Converging Voices, celebrates the next generation of musical creators. Now in our second decade, Hub is dedicated to fostering peer-driven collaborations through a series of commissions that will conclude in our 20th year, 2033.
Across three cycles Hub will select a cohort of composers with whom we will each commission, workshop, tour, and record a new piece. The result is a body of work that helps pave the way toward a vibrant artistic future for creators and listeners alike.
Cycle 1 (2026-2028): Elijah Daniel Smith, Geli Li, Akshaya Avril Tucker,
