Shakuhachi player Kojiro Umezaki joins Hub New Music in a performance of five pieces written by composers of the Asia/America New Music Institute (AANMI). Works by Takuma Itoh, Angel Lam, Chad Cannon, SunYoung Park, and Umezaki.
Gala Flagello’s The Bird-While is the first concerto written for Hub New Music. Scored for Hub + Symphonic Winds, The Bird-While is inspired by the environmentalist poetry of Keith Taylor.
