tied together

Tied Together is a collaboration with Hub New Music, renowned shakuhachi player Kojiro Umezaki of Silkroad, and the composers of the Asia/America New Music Institute (AANMI). In a program featuring several new pieces commissioned for this project, HNM and Umezaki build dialogues between eastern and western musical traditions, centered around the ties between musical and cultural identity.
